Clothing and packing rules
Wear earth-toned or camouflage clothing like greens and browns. Avoid bright colors. Single-use plastics are completely banned, so bring a reusable water bottle.

How to reach Sasan Gir?
The nearest major city is Junagadh, located 65km away. You can drive from Junagadh in 1.5 hours. Local trains also connect Junagadh to Sasan Gir Railway Station.
Is Gir National Park open in August during the monsoon?
No. The core park is strictly closed for the monsoon from June 16 to October 15 every year. The Devalia Interpretation Zone remains open for most of the monsoon.
Are cameras allowed on the jeep safari and is there a fee?
Yes, cameras with telephoto lenses are allowed for wildlife photography. Camera fees may apply locally depending on forest department rules at the time of entry.
