How can I book a jeep safari in Gir National Park?
You must book online through the official Gujarat Forest Department portal. Permits are released up to 90 days in advance. No offline tickets are sold at the gate.

What is the difference between Gir Jungle Safari and Devalia Safari Park?

Which safari zone or route is best to see Asiatic lions?
All 13 designated safari routes have equal chances of wildlife sightings. Vehicles are randomly assigned to a route by the forest department to minimize crowding.
How many people are allowed in one safari jeep in Gir?
One official Gypsy allows a maximum of 6 adults and 1 child aged 3 to 12 years. You cannot exceed this limit.
Can we take our own personal car inside Sasan Gir?
No. Private cars are strictly prohibited on the trails. You must use the registered forest department vehicles and guides.
Which month is the best time to visit Gir National Park?
December through March offer cool weather and active wildlife. April and May are very hot but offer high sighting odds near waterholes.
Do I need to carry original ID proof for the safari?
Yes. You must carry the exact original photo ID you used during the online booking process. You will be denied entry without it.
How long does the Gir Jungle Trail safari take?
The core Gir Jungle Trail spans approximately 3 hours in an open Gypsy.
Can I book a Gir safari offline or at the gate?
No. 100% of the permits are issued online. You cannot buy a ticket at the Sinh Sadan reception.
