This core forest area is the only natural habitat of wild Asiatic lions. You ride in an official 6-seater open Gypsy. The forest department assigns you to 1 of 13 designated routes to minimize crowding.

A trained forest official guides every trip through the dry deciduous teak woods. The trail completely closes for the monsoon season from June 16 to October 15.
